Carey moves personal trainer into home to fight fuller figure criticism

American singer Mariah Carey has moved her personal trainer into her Los Angeles home in order to get back in shape after she was criticised for her fuller figure.

Carey, 39, received criticism for her curves after photos of her visiting her husband Nick Cannon''s relatives in San Diego, California, on April 12, came out online.

She has taken to social networking site Twitter.com to vent her anger and frustration about the remarks she got, and even insisted that she is now doing her best to get back in shape.

“Looking at some paparazzi shots from Easter... I don’t know what was worse, the bleak angles and bright peach dress... or the b.s. (bulls**t) commentary/blogs,” Contactmusic quoted her as having written.


“It was Easter and we were trying to be nice so we just walked out Nick’s aunt''s front door despite the paparazzi who had followed us ALL the way to San Diego! I figured, why not give them a pic even tho (though) I look a stone mess after a long festive day...

“Then in return we get a… B.S. story and some pics I could''ve definitely lived w/out (without). ...Just ''for the record''... that dress and hair were not ''red carpet'' attire! And if I gained a few pounds... My trainer''s back living w/ (with) me again...yippie,” she added.

Britney gives in to smoke cravings in Miami

When Madonna runs late, she gets more than just a dirty look from her husband. The singer has been fined a whopping £135,000 after exceeding her allotted stage time at Wembley stadium earlier this month.

Madge’s Sticky & Sweet tour rolled into London on September 11, and over 74,000 fans packed into Wembley stadium to gawp at the 50-year-old. Although she was due to take the stage at 8.30pm, according to the Sun, she eventually appeared at 9.10pm, which pushed the final curtain back from 10.30pm to 11.10pm.

Beyonce, Taylor Swift lead Grammy nominations

Singer Beyonce Knowles is leading the Grammy nominations list with 10. Close behind is teen sensation Taylor Swift with eight nominations.

Katy Perry announced the Best Rock Album contenders: AC/DC, for Black Ice; Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood, for Live from Madison Square Garden; Green Day, for 21st Century Breakdown; Dave Matthews Band, for Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King; and U2, for No Line on the Horizon.

Dwight Yoakum named the Best County Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal hopefuls: Brooks and Dunn, for "Cowgirls Don't Cry"; the Zac Brown Band, for "Chicken Fried"; Lady Antebellum, for "I Run to You"; Rascal Flatts, for "Here Comes Goodbye"; and Sugarland, for "It Happens".

Robinson and Starr had the honour of naming those in the running for Record of the Year and Album of the Year. For Record: Beyonce's "Halo", Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling", Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody", Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Swift's "You Belong With Me".

Album of the Year nominees are Beyonce's I Am Sasha Fierce, the Black Eyed Peas' The End, the Dave Matthews Band's Big Whiskey and Swift's Fearless.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be announced Jan 31 next year.
